We know that what we have planned may be unfamiliar to some and so we wanted to give our guests a basic idea of what to expect on the day.
Arrival (11:30am)
We know it is a morning ceremony and some of you may not have gotten your third or fourth cup of coffee in yet, so on arrival there will be welcome waters as well as coffee, tea and other hot beverages available from the Love Coffee Kombi.
Ceremony (12:00 pm)
We come from very different backgrounds, but what is important to both of us is family; the new family we are creating together, as well as the families that we come from and the families we are gaining. To reflect this we have created a ceremony filled with rituals and traditions from both of our backgrounds which are particularly meaningful to both of us.
Don’t worry, everything will be explained on the day 🙂
After Ceremony (12:45pm)
After the ceremony, there will be snacks and more coffees from the Kombi, as well as signature welcome cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
During this time, Rachel and Matt and the bridal and groom party and families will disappear for as short a time as possible to take pictures. We don’t want to be gone too long — we’d much rather spend time with you than staring at each other in the middle of a field.
Lunchtime Reception (2:00pm)
Because we’ve chosen a Sunday for our wedding, we decided a big Sunday lunch would be in order.
We’ll start off with some speeches, break for a medieval-type feast and then open up the floor for any unscheduled speakers who may want to say something. After that we head straight into dessert and dancing.
